No matter what language you speak when you enter a home with a table filled with beautiful traditional food and smiles you couldn't feel more welcome. Arriving 1 1/2 hours late into Yantai, China, my friend Debra picked me up from the airport with her Dad holding an Australian flag so I'd see them. Felt like a rock star. Her family is amazing and couldn't feel more welcomed. Even though Debra is the only one who speaks English, it is an amazing experience and my Chinese is expanding.
