There are some great spots to camp in Australia, and they don’t have to cost you a cent, just petrol to get there. Cooper Creek, just outside Quilpie, in south west Queensland, is one of those spots. There are plenty of great spots along both sides of the creek, and we were even lucky enough to set up our roof top tent and look over the creek. It felt like we were on safari, watching all the bird life and the creek life flow by. The Cooper Creek was named in 1845 by explorer Charles Sturt after his respect for a South Aussie judge Mr Cooper – he must have got him out of some sticky situation to name a creek after him (joking). Mr Sturt did state though he couldn’t justify it as a river because it had no current, so reading between the lines, was that a dig at the judge? Who knows but I will leave you pondering that one.
365 days = 365 photographs..rules of engagement; 1.I have to take a photo each day, no matter where I am and what I am doing. 2. Post it, when possible. Not all the places I will be visiting have access to the web; yes I know it is hard to believe but there are still some places like that exist, and they are amazing. 3. No photos from your film library can be used or posted..remember it isn't about the destination, but the journey that takes us there..enjoy. :)
