What can I say but ‘WOW” never been surrounded by such unbelievable scenery and the ticker going 100 miles per hour with nerves, at the same time. At dusk I was completely torn by whether take the shot or take the hike 700m out in knee deep water to get to our boat at Boab Bay East Kimberley. We sailed around from Faraway Bay (my new heaven) to see the Aboriginal and Bradshaw rock art in the red rock cliffs. It was an adventurous walk up with Spinifex covering sneaky rocks, but so worth seeing rock art that not many has seen before. One thing though in the Kimberley, when the tide goes out, it goes way out. After the walk the boat couldn’t get in to pick us up; so it was wait and be eaten by mozzies and for the tide to come up or walk to the boat. Only catch crocs in the water. Well, if I could have walked on water I would have the footing was muddy, holes to fall down (with camera gear on back). When I reached the boat I nearly leaped clean over the motor to get aboard. This is one of those photographs I’ll look back at for its beauty and adventure. The ride home was pretty spectacular too; I’ve never seen a star shine across the water. The only causality of the day was my toe ring lost in the Kimberly mud but I figure some croc is going’ look good and I certainly wasn’t going stop and get it out!
365 days = 365 photographs..rules of engagement; 1.I have to take a photo each day, no matter where I am and what I am doing. 2. Post it, when possible. Not all the places I will be visiting have access to the web; yes I know it is hard to believe but there are still some places like that exist, and they are amazing. 3. No photos from your film library can be used or posted..remember it isn't about the destination, but the journey that takes us there..enjoy. :)
