Day 57 - Coober Pedy, lunar lands.

Only Day 1 of this amazing trip with Ewen Bell and Air Adventure Australia and we have flown from Melbourne, to Coober Pedy SA. As you fly into Coober Pedy the amazing landscape unfolds beneath you. Thousands of mounds appear like a giant playground for tunnelling moles. Only these opal miners are after the riches of the earth that come out of this wee tiny holes in the ground. Only 30-35 mines are operational today, and the opals are unbelievable. The light was amazing during the afternoon, and the sky before the sun went down was a vibrate blue, incredible.
