Ok, so I might be over using the term ‘amazing’ for this trip; however, today we went to the Tiwi Islands off Darwin. Tibias was our guide for the day telling us about their culture and traditions of the islanders; which a ½ day doesn’t cut it. There is too much to learn but it gives you a taste to research and learn more, and what you do experience is unreal. ‘Teabag’ served us billy tea and damper for morning tea, and was an avid Carlton supporter (he can’t help it) but he felt extremely sorry for me being a Tigers supporter, so I gained a new friend. Marsala stole the day, and this is one example of this beautiful lady that loves life, and sharing her culture and traditions. Her laugh is intoxicating, and her totem painted on her face is the Rainbow Serpent. We met as strangers but parted as friends, a truly amazing day.
365 days = 365 photographs..rules of engagement; 1.I have to take a photo each day, no matter where I am and what I am doing. 2. Post it, when possible. Not all the places I will be visiting have access to the web; yes I know it is hard to believe but there are still some places like that exist, and they are amazing. 3. No photos from your film library can be used or posted..remember it isn't about the destination, but the journey that takes us there..enjoy. :)
