Day 25 - Old Wharfs of time

If only the old pylons could talk, trapped in their cement cases waiting for the weather to erode away their tales. Gold rush era, pearling, fishing, and harbouring allied forces during WWII, don't you just wonder what went on at the wharfs? October 7 1876, William Wellington Cairns the Governor of Qld at the time proclaimed a new northern port at Trinity Bay. It wasn't until 1st Nov 1876 the township of Cairns was inaugurated.
