After a very early start, one hour flight from Bangkok to Yangon, Myanmar. It was time to drag the bag over to domestic, get our sticker for boarding; bags weighed all together, bus out on tarmac to plane for Mandalay. Another bus, and then when ended at a magic place called U Pein Teak Bridge. Spans 1.2km across the lake joining two villages. Temples surround us. A boat takes us out on the water to catch the sun set behind the bridge, as monks walk on. Our first day, it is hard to image it will get better than this. This is definitely a country of surprises and wonder.
