Day 357 – Pumping.

Riding in the tube of life, red blood cells travel around the body giving life of oxygen all over and removing the waste.  Without its function we would slowly die.  The wonderful thing about blood is that it doesn’t matter what the package is on the outside, we all have the same inside.  Red blood cells pumps along everyone’s highway of life regardless of who you are or where you are from?  Kind of neat when you think about it.

Day 350 – Drifting.

A gentle breeze moves through the stands of her hair as she stands on the cliff.  Black clouds sit on the horizon.  Flashes of light move across the sky.  Clouds ring out and echo through the valley.  She continues to stand soaking up the elements, rising skyward.  Where does she go?  Smoke can take on so many different forms, and because I kick started the imagination yesterday; totally using my artistic licence today.   So what can you see?

Day 330 – Summer days drifting away.

Officially it is the last day of summer today.  Although the heat and humidity have as yet to leave the building.  The memo has not been read yet that summer is at an end.  The raindrops made a brief appearance today.  Hitting the pavements.  Leaving the steam to rise from the heat of the ground once again.  Magic of the tropics, where summer lasts a wee bit longer.

Day 307 – Cool down.

Working with ice on a hot summer’s day what could go wrong?  Well apart from the ice melting really quickly not much really.  Besides that adds to the adventure of capturing the natural light through the ice shards, and keep cool at the same time.  Ice and light are one of those cool elements to work with that you never know what you are going to get?  Then you just let your imagination run wild.  :)

Day 294 – Colours thru raindrops.

The deluge may continue to fall.  Grey clouds hanging around dropping the fat rain.  You have to find some colour to brighten the day up and give you nothing but smiles.  Frangipani is one of my favourite tropical flowers.  Yellows, pinks, apricots, reds; they have evolved over time in different colours.  Whenever you smell one though it reminds me of the beach, palm trees, cocktails and sunshine.  If it is rainy, snowing, or cloudy hope this brings some sunshine in your world.:)

Day 290 – Raindrops.

The official wet season started way back in December.  However, today was the first time I’ve seen the fat rain drop down.  You know it is always a great rain when you see the backyard creating lake Maddison.  The ground so full of moisture it ‘can’t take anymore’. So I think the grey clouds are here to stay for a couple of days because the first monsoon trough for season is over the Cape and Gulf.   It’s a great time to get out in the rain and play.

Day 289 – Living on the edge.

Green ants always do a merry dance just before it rains.  There has been plenty of dancing today.  They have been busy little beavers going back and forth along the gardens edge.  Making new homes in the trees above.  Weaving their magic to glue the leaves together to protect themselves from the elements.  They may be small but sometimes good things do come in small packages.  Unless they bite you.
