| Total Solar Eclipse - Cairns 2012 |
Well the birds didn't fall off the perch but things certainly did go quite dark. A cheer from around Cairns went up as the moon totally engulfed the sun. The last time this happened in the Cairns area was 710AD, so a definite buzz was around town. Plus in the Palmer River region (3 hours from Cairns) there is Eclipse 2012 a 10 day party to celebrate. Definitely interesting times in the area, an awesome sight this morning.
