Day 216 - Stanley

Stanley Nut - Tasmania
Getting into the far north west corner country of Tassie.  Beautiful township of Stanley is nestled behind an ancient dormant volcano, aptly named the Nut.  Old cottages from the late 1800's are now places of accommodation, and restaurants.  The fishing fleet that go in search of crayfish, have their own special sanctuary at the side of the Nut.  So they can at least have a little respite from the white horses coming in from Bass Strait.   A beautiful spot, although in pioneer days it would have been very, very hard work.
