Day 56 – Lake Jindabyne.

Lake Jindabyne NSW
Below the depths of the calm waters of Lake Jindabyne lies the old township.  In the 1960s the Snowy Hydro scheme commenced.  The Snowy River was dammed, and the valley flooded.  Not before the new township of Jindabyne was relocated to higher ground.   Now it is one of NSW highlands top fishing and recreational lakes.  Holding more water than Sydney Harbour it definitely is a water wonderland at the foot of Mt Kosciusko National Park.
