This is one place that when in the middle you could mistake it for the Sahara Desert. It is an amazing part of the coast line, a beach that stretches 32km up to Newcastle. Tin cities are hidden in them, the old shanty fishing village that people still live in. Ammunition from WWII from the RAAF testing unexploded shells have been found over the years too. As kids we use to jump in the 4WD and go up the beach with no-one around. Now, camels walk the beach, you can ride a board down the dunes, horse tours, specialised 4WD tours, quad tours, and special access for 4WD’s. It is kind of like the 4WD highway of Rainbow Beach in Queensland. That is progress, and there are still some places to get lost there, it is just a little better marked for all to enjoy.
365 days = 365 photographs..rules of engagement; 1.I have to take a photo each day, no matter where I am and what I am doing. 2. Post it, when possible. Not all the places I will be visiting have access to the web; yes I know it is hard to believe but there are still some places like that exist, and they are amazing. 3. No photos from your film library can be used or posted..remember it isn't about the destination, but the journey that takes us there..enjoy. :)
