Day 340: Wannon Falls – Southern Grampians.

Are you one of those travellers that tick the box about places you have been too, but not really seen?  Or have you taken time to really discover one spot.  Today we choose the later and just explored the immediate area of Dunkeld in the Southern Grampian region.  It started out with a wee bit of rain, but the day ended on a high with blue sky appearing later on in the day, with the rain finally staying away.  Wannon Falls is not off the beaten track, or hidden away.  Although; if you are in a hurry to head to Mount Gambier in SA you might miss the turn off.  They run over a volcanic rock lip into a deep cavern below, the water snaking its way through a carved valley.  This is just one of the Grampians treasures we discovered today, who knows what is in store for tomorrow when we head off on the road again, to Central Victoria.
