Day 318: Letting the light in.

  The Botanical Gardens are slowly beginning to open up again after Yasi blasted its way through.  Unfortunately an enormous task for staff still remains.  The dense rainforest at the back of the gardens are still in disarray after the big blow, and remain closed.   There is definitely a lot more light filtering in though.  You could say the positive side to all of this, is that you get to see a bit more of the gardens that was hiding out under the thick foliage.  Like this little area, it was always surrounded by dense greenery.   Hiding amongst the tall giants, and now it is shining in its own right.    Nature’s diet, to let the light into the smaller plants on the rainforest floor.
