Let me introduce you to Luke, my other little mate for the week, he is 9 years old too. Every morning at camp after a bit of a sing along we do craft. When Luke first got off the bus he was very shy, but he is starting to come out of his shell. He is from one of China’s 56 minority groups, half of which reside in the Yunnan Province, where we are now. I’ve never seen a nine year old boy so precise and articulate about his writing and drawing it is amazing. He was writing a letter to his sponsor to thank them for sending him to camp, his concentration was amazing. The really special thing about that was it turned out his sponsor was my Mum, so we got to speak to Mum from China and say thank you as well, it was really cool.
