It was Daffodil Day yesterday (Friday 27 August 2010). All through our trip I’ve had Dougal, one of ‘Daffodil Day’s’ ambassadors on the dash of our car. I’m a bit of a bear hoarder and it is for such a great cause, I’ve got everyone since he first appeared on the scene. Unfortunately, in some way we have all been touched by someone who has suffered from cancer and is a survivor or, no longer here with us. It is a great day to give hope and raise funds for such a terrible disease. It actually originated in Canada in the 1980’s. NSW Cancer Council then started in 1986. In 1992 it became an Australia-wide event. Hopefully it has the support of many for the years to come, and research one day finds a cure.
365 days = 365 photographs..rules of engagement; 1.I have to take a photo each day, no matter where I am and what I am doing. 2. Post it, when possible. Not all the places I will be visiting have access to the web; yes I know it is hard to believe but there are still some places like that exist, and they are amazing. 3. No photos from your film library can be used or posted..remember it isn't about the destination, but the journey that takes us there..enjoy. :)
