Not unique to the Far North, common Australia wide. The Pacific Black Duck is known as your ‘typically dabbling duck’. Meaning; its heads down (underwater) and bottoms up when they feed in the pond on aquatic plants. Our friend today didn’t seem to be having that issue, because a little girl was feeding him bread. If you look real close to the left is a turtle, cashing in on a quick feed too. The Pacific Black Ducks, are the socialites of the duck world too, and readily mix with others. Hang out in ponds, tidal flats and deep in the forest dams, it would appear not shy of a good time, and eager to mingle. So I guess you could say they are the party ducks, and love just getting out there.
365 days = 365 photographs..rules of engagement; 1.I have to take a photo each day, no matter where I am and what I am doing. 2. Post it, when possible. Not all the places I will be visiting have access to the web; yes I know it is hard to believe but there are still some places like that exist, and they are amazing. 3. No photos from your film library can be used or posted..remember it isn't about the destination, but the journey that takes us there..enjoy. :)
